Singing for an audience is one of the most vulnerable acts of self-expression.

Similarly classified with public speaking as a “biggest fear” for many individuals, it takes preparation, self-awareness, and a whole lot of courage to step into the spotlight.

Then, once you’ve taken center stage, it’s a moment-to-moment practice of staying grounded and finding ways to express that foster a connection with your audience, the music, and the story that illuminates your true self.

In this workshop with vocalist Amy D., participants will be guided to find their very own recipe for expressing themselves on stage.

Whether you’re already singing professionally or just starting out, you will be given a variety of tools and practices to feel more at ease and confident in performance.

For those who would like to practice and receive coaching in real-time, please bring a song to share with the class (with a backing track, a lead sheet in the appropriate key, or play self-accompanied).
