This fun, hands-on introductory course in jazz improvisation helps students build the foundational skills necessary to play improvised solos over common jazz chord progressions. This class is a great first step for students with little or no previous jazz improvisation experience who are interested in joining one of our jazz ensembles. Prerequisites: facility on an instrument, and knowledge of major and minor scales; major, minor, and dominant 7th chords.
