The melodica is getting more popular all the time, and with good reason!

It’s fun, inexpensive, very portable, and fits in beautifully with a huge range of music, including blues, jazz, folk/country, reggae, traditional music from the British Isles, Cajun/zydeco, and more.

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn melodica technique, various playing styles, and a wide variety of repertoire.

Artists as diverse as Jon Batiste, Billy Preston, Jacob Collier, Café Tacvba, Art Lande, and Augustus Pablo excel on the melodica; rock groups including Faith No More and the Red Hot Chili Peppers use it as well.

Handouts provided by instructor.

Prerequisites: basic familiarity with piano helpful; a melodica to play (contact instructor for recommendations well ahead of time if needed).
