IN-PERSON WORKSHOP

World-renowned guitarist and educator John Stowell leads this workshop, demonstrating techniques for creating fresh arrangements of jazz standards and related material through the use of harmonic modulation techniques. He will also demonstrate how these techniques can help with memorizing and internalizing repertoire by developing facility with playing tunes in multiple keys.

Portland-based guitarist John Stowell has 35 years of international playing and teaching experience and has recorded/ performed with Milt Jackson, Lionel Hampton, Art Farmer, and many others. He has also published several instructional books and videos.
